Main functions: To melt and pour aluminum into molds for the production of parts as per Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd’s policies and procedures.
Duties:

Operates and monitors foundry furnaces used to melt aluminum.

Fluxes and skims molten aluminum.
-
Setups and operates tilt pours to cast aluminum parts.
-
Follow casting work package procedures.
-
Handles ladle molten aluminum into molds.
-
Removes aluminum castings from molds.
-
Visually inspects castings for non-conformance to ensure the quality of castings is produced.
-
Reports any issues that might affect production to the supervisor.
-
Finishing of casting through saw cutting and sanding procedures for gate removal.
-
Completes work package documentation.
-
Clean work areas and equipment.
-
Support Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd’s Lean initiative.

Shift 4 days a week 10 hours a day (Days or Afternoons).

Employment Requirements:

High School preferred but not required.
