Eastern Construction Safety is currently seeking to fill the role of a Safety Advisor in the Edmundston area.
Prerequisites:
- Clean drivers abstract.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office.
- Completion of, or active participation in, an accredited safety training program.
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- A natural problem solver who is also a highly collaborative team player.
- Be a team player but also capable of working alone.
- NCSO designation not required but considered an asset. Must be eligible to obtain.
- French/English bi-lingual would be asset, not required.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in a health and safety role.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be expected to provide safety on site for a 8 month project. They will be required to:
- Conduct worksite inspections.
- Write site specific safety plans.
- Conduct safety meetings/toolbox talks.
- Conduct incident investigations and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Inspect personal protective equipment.
- Conduct respirator fit testing.
- Location – Edmundston
