The Bragg Creek Bakery & Café is looking for an experienced, reliable, and motivated kitchen team member to take on one of our food service lines.
This is a full-time position (40+ hours/week) for someone who enjoys cooking, takes pride in producing quality food, and wants the opportunity to help shape and grow our menu offerings.
Please note: This is not a baking position. This role is focused exclusively on our food service kitchen, preparing breakfast and lunch items and helping develop our food & beverage program.
Important Transportation Requirement
Applicants must have their own reliable transportation to Bragg Creek.
There is no public transportation available to Bragg Creek, and staff are responsible for getting themselves to and from work. Unfortunately, if you do not have access to a vehicle, we cannot consider your application.
What You'll Be Doing
This is a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment where quality, consistency, and efficiency are essential.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items
- Assisting with menu planning, seasonal specials, and new menu development
- Food preparation
- Maintaining food quality and presentation standards
- Managing inventory and assisting with ordering as required
- Following food safety and sanitation procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and workstations
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Assisting with receiving deliveries and rotating inventory
- Supporting other café operations when required
This is a position for someone who enjoys staying busy and takes pride in producing excellent food every day. We are looking for someone who can work independently while also being a strong member of our team.
What We're Looking ForPreferred Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, café, commercial kitchen, or similar environment
- Experience with menu planning or menu development
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods
- Food Safety Certification (preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Weekend availability
- Flexible schedule

Compensation & Perks

- Wage based on experience, skills, and availability ($15.00-$20.00/hr)

Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekend availability is required.
