Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments efficiently using electronic medical records systems, coordinating with providers to optimize daily workflows.
- Verify patient insurance information and update medical records accurately to facilitate seamless billing and documentation.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding treatment plans, appointment reminders, and post-visit instructions.
- Maintain organized patient files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support the clinical team by preparing examination rooms and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
- Handle incoming calls professionally, addressing inquiries about appointments, billing, or medical records promptly.
- Patient intake; incoming referrals & existing patient recommendation requests
- Update charts & doctors on current patient status with respiratory therapy
- Billing & invoicing; coordinate with insurance companies
- Educate patients on PAP therapy; observe & document recorded reports
- Troubleshoot medical electronic equipment
- Sterilization of medical electronic equipment
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within healthcare settings.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is required to manage patient information accurately.
- Office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and multitasking ability is necessary.
- Dental office experience is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in busy situations.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
