Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing soil and rock properties, designing foundation systems, and supporting construction projects with technical expertise. Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling and testing, to assess site conditions.
- Develop detailed geotechnical reports and recommendations for foundation design and earthworks.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and System Design tools for drafting schematics and project layouts.
- Perform construction inspection to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively through project management practices.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, construction teams, and clients to coordinate project deliverables.
- Apply GIS tools like ArcGIS and HEC software for hydrological modeling and analysis.
- Support construction estimating processes by providing accurate technical data.
- Use CAD programs like Drafting and Schematics to prepare detailed drawings for construction documents.
- Ensure quality control by reviewing plans, schematics, and system designs related to geotechnical aspects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience with geotechnical analysis, construction inspection, and project management.
- Proficiency in software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Mathcad, HEC software, System Design tools, and CAD drafting programs.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and civil engineering design standards.
- Familiarity with geotechnical testing methods and soil/rock analysis techniques.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles as they relate to system design and structural stability.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
