Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role is essential in preventing theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access, contributing to the overall safety of our organization. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, but comprehensive training will be provided.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to oversee activity within and around the premises
- Control access points by checking identification and logging visitors or employees
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies to mitigate risks
- Maintain detailed incident reports and document any suspicious activity or security incidents
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing and deterring theft or vandalism
- Enforce company policies and security procedures consistently and professionally
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary to resolve incidents
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, surveillance, or loss prevention is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance equipment is preferred
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, visitors, and law enforcement agencies
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols across large areas of the facility
Pay: $15.00-$15.75 per hour
