We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Support member to join our team. The Operations Support role will responsible for monitoring and responding to nightly fleet operational needs and administrative upkeep of our coach contracts. Operations Support will ensure operational continuity from the daytime Operations team as the first point of contact for drivers, night cleaning staff and clients, as needed.
Work Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 3 pm-12:00am
- After hours on call
Key Responsibilities
Fleet & Staff
- Act as the primary contact for night cleaning staff and delegate additional tasks as needed to maintain high productivity.
- Conduct unit walk-throughs to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and help clean buses when necessary for quick turnarounds.
- Monitor driver logs to ensure drivers are logged out and compliant.
- Provide basic maintenance and troubleshooting support to drivers as needed.
Operations
- Act as the after-hours contact for drivers and notify them of any last-minute unit or schedule changes.
- Assist with dispatch for coach operations, including preparing daily and weekly manifests.
- Send unit requirements and status emails to clients as required.
- Contact replacement drivers for any last-minute changes to trips.
- On-call duty
Compliance & Administration
- Use NORCAT to monitor employee training status and proactively schedule renewals.
- Coordinate hotel arrangements and room bookings for industrial stays.
- Ensure drivers are accurately reporting defects to the maintenance team with Fleetio as needed.
- Ensure required paperwork for trips are available for drivers.
- Participate in Health and Safety by conducting workplace inspections and reporting incidents in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements
To successfully perform the duties of this role, the candidate must be able to:
- Assist in the physical cleaning of bus interiors and exteriors to meet departure deadlines.
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor maintenance tasks.
- Remain active throughout the night shift in a fast-paced environment.
- Work comfortably in an outdoor yard environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions and night-time lighting.
- Sit for long periods of time.
