Position Summary:
Stevans Commercial Interiors ("Stevans") is hiring a Delivery and Installation Associate. In this role, you will deliver and install furniture and window coverings (blinds) at customer sites across Ontario, serving long-term care, retirement, healthcare, and commercial clients.
Delivery and installation is a core part of our business. Our delivery team is the face of our brand; the person on site is who our customers remember, and the experience they have shapes whether we earn their next project. We are looking for someone who is friendly, respectful, and responsible on every job, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the right thing.
The successful candidate will begin as part of our install team, with the opportunity to progress into a leadership role overseeing installations on the road, including larger projects across Canada. The position is based out of our Brantford office, with regular on-site work at customer locations across Ontario. This is a full-time hourly role, typically 35–40 per week, with overnight travel expected for larger jobs (~3–5 nights/month), though this may range depending on project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver furniture including chairs, sofas, tables, desks, casegoods, shelving, and related products. Assemble products on site using hand tools and power tools. Use power tools and general handyman skills to assemble, install, and adjust products.
- Drive a large box truck (up to ~26 ft) to job sites across Ontario, loading and unloading product safely and securely.
- Complete daily pickups as needed from our vendors across Ontario (mostly GTA).
- Accurately measure and install blinds and window coverings.
- Work in the warehouse to receive, organize, count, and track inventory. Keep the space orderly and ensure items are staged and ready for upcoming installations.
- Work with project managers to confirm site readiness and delivery schedules. Coordinate and work alongside other trades professionals.
- Communicate professionally with customers and represent Stevans on job sites.
You are a great fit for the role if:
You take pride in doing quality work - You focus on accuracy, follow installation instructions carefully, and ensure the final result looks professional. You catch issues early and do the job right the first time.
You perform well in fast paced environments - You stay organized during busy installation days. You manage tight timelines, handle changes on the fly, and keep moving when there are many items to assemble or install.
You act like an owner - You take initiative, own outcomes, and operate with accountability. You make decisions that support long-term growth, not short-term convenience.
You are a team player – “We before me”. You value collaboration, share credit, and listen to other perspectives. We celebrate wins and learn from losses together. Your contributions make the team stronger.
You are relentless about solving customer problems - You leave no stone unturned to deliver solutions to customers on time, “The Stevans Way”. New furniture day is an exciting moment for residents in retirement and long-term care homes. You are situationally aware, respectful, and engage with residents.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid G class licence and clean driving record. Prior experience driving a box truck is strongly preferred.
- Experience installing furniture or working in a trades, construction, or delivery environment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
- Comfort using tools for assembly and installation.
- Experience measuring or installing blinds and window coverings is not required, but a
- significant asset.
- Strong communication skills and professional conduct on customer sites.
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent in day to day execution.
- Eagerness to learn, take on more responsibility, and grow with the team.
