We are a growing EV & automotive repair shop located in Abbotsford, BC, operating in a brand‑new, clean, and modern facility. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Automotive Apprentice Technician / Shop Helper who wants to learn, grow, and build a long‑term career in the automotive industry. Responsibilities
- Assist with vehicle repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics under the supervision of senior technicians
- Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and shop equipment safely and correctly
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support repair tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of parts, batteries, and equipment when required
- Support assembly and disassembly of vehicle components, including mechanical and electrical systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to ensure efficiency and compliance with shop standards
- Communicate with customers professionally and provide basic assistance with inquiries when needed
- Assist with inventory management, parts organization, and restocking shop supplies
- Follow all shop safety protocols, PPE requirements, and operational procedures at all times
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or mechanic experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of automotive repair, maintenance, and schematics is a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.25-$32.07 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
