Job Overview
We are seeking to expand our commercial Sheet Metal - HVAC division by hiring an apprentice to work alongside one of our licensed technicians on site. This posting is open to all candidates interested in working towards and receiving a red seal license in the trade although preference will be given to existing 2nd year apprentices and up. Because we are a smaller team of plumbers and sheet metal mechanics working alongside each other, apprentices can enjoy and expect to learn and perform a greater range of trade specific tasks from day 1.
Responsibilities
- Prepping material and ready areas for install
- site cleanup and organization
- aid your partner with ductwork and equipment installation
- Become a sponge and LEARN!!
Skills
- Able to take direction and complete tasks independently
- Ability to watch a demonstration and convert those learnings into consistent results
- Ability to use a measuring tape
- Blueprint reading is an asset
- Math skills are an asset
- Previous construction experience is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Pay: $24.09-$38.54 per hour
