Overview
We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper to assist skilled carpenters and construction teams in various building projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry, working on diverse tasks that develop your skills in carpentry, woodworking, and general construction. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and capable of performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution.
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, and masonry work as needed.
- Help with cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, roofing, and siding projects.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble materials.
- Perform general construction tasks including caulking, painting, drywall installation, and restoration work.
- Support heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on-site.
- Aid in the assembly of structures or components according to project specifications.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction or handyman work is preferred.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus.
- Experience with roofing, siding, or flooring installation is desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a willingness to learn new techniques.
