We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook with breakfast experience to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Respond to customer's order requirment and feed back
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Sharpen kitchen knives
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
- Food safety/handling skills
Requirements
- Breakfast restarant kitchen experience is an asset.
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, meal preparation techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of serving etiquette and customer service principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Prior experience with food handling, restaurant operations, or kitchen experience is preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay: $17.00-$18.50 per hour
