Barista (Part-Time)Location: Mitfar Boutique Cafe
About the RoleMitfar Boutique Cafe is seeking a passionate Part-Time Barista with an appreciation for specialty and single-origin coffee. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages, pastries, sandwiches, toasts, and salads in a fast-paced café environment.
Minimum 1 year of barista experience and demonstrated latte art skills (including, at a minimum, heart and tulip designs) are required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, and other beverages.
- Educate customers about our coffee offerings and make recommendations.
- Prepare and serve food items, including toasts, salads, and sandwiches.
- Assist with baking and presentation of pastries.
- Operate the POS system and handle transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards.
- Restock ingredients and café supplies as needed.
- Support opening, closing, and day-to-day café operations.
Qualifications
- Previous specialty coffee or barista experience is required.
- Demonstrated latte art skills are required (minimum heart and tulip patterns).
- Knowledge of specialty and single-origin coffee is an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Food Handler Certification required.
- Availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours events.
