Job Overview
We're looking for the next few superstars to join the JPC team. With 3 wineries in our portfolio, all located in West Kelowna, there's a location that perfect for you; Black Swift Vineyards, Crown & Thieves and the Hatch Winery. Must be an authentic hospitalian and have a strong desire to tell some wild (wine) stories, sell copious amounts of wine and provide 5-star experiences. The JPC team is second to none. We're a bunch of hard working wine lovers who love what we do, and support each other while slingin' wine. Make really good money this summer and make tips and incentives.
Duties
- Greet visitors warmly and provide informative tastings of our wines
- Educate guests about our wine offerings, production process, and tasting options
- Handle cash and process transactions accurately using Micros POS system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room area
- Assist with food and snack service, including meal preparation when necessary
- Ensure compliance with food handling and safety standards
- Manage cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing payments
- Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and engaging with guests to enhance their visit
- Support the team in maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed
Skills
- Previous experience in a winery or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Experience serving food and beverages in a hospitality setting
- Proficiency in cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of Micros POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to food handling standards
- Excellent communication skills to educate and engage guests effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and enthusiasm for wine and hospitality

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
