Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Montessori Guide to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment tailored specifically for toddlers, fostering their natural curiosity and love of learning. As a Montessori Guide, you will facilitate developmentally appropriate activities that promote independence, social-emotional growth, and cognitive skills. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will inspire young learners to explore confidently while ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Duties
- Design and implement Montessori-based curriculum activities that cater to toddlers’ developmental stages, encouraging exploration and hands-on learning
- Foster a warm, welcoming classroom atmosphere that promotes independence, respect, and positive social interactions among children
- Observe and assess each child's progress regularly to tailor activities that support individual growth and developmental milestones
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental needs
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to plan classroom activities, organize materials, and manage daily schedules efficiently
- Utilize computer skills to document observations, update records, and communicate effectively with families and staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in an early childhood education setting or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of Montessori principles, child development theories, and age-appropriate teaching strategies for toddlers
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse learner needs
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs is a plus
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage classroom materials, schedules, and documentation efficiently
- Ability to operate computers proficiently for record-keeping, communication, and curriculum planning purposes
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence in children while maintaining a calm, positive demeanor
- Time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities seamlessly
