Coastal Support Services Ltd. is currently seeking a Community Support Worker to join our dedicated and supportive team in the Oceanside area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of individuals while working in a positive, collaborative environment.
Position Details
- Hours: 25–30 hours per week
- Location: Oceanside area
What You’ll Do
As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalized support in the community and in clients’ homes
- Assisting with daily living activities such as appointments, banking, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Encouraging community inclusion and helping individuals build meaningful connections
- Promoting and enhancing each individual’s quality of life
- Maintaining accurate and detailed progress notes after each shift
- Communicating effectively with the Team Lead and broader support team
What You Bring
- Community Support Worker Diploma or education in a related field (preferred)
- Experience supporting individuals with diverse abilities, including acquired brain injuries (an asset)
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable adults
- FoodSafe Level 1 certification (an asset)
