Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Automotive Glass Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in auto glass replacement, be familiar with ICBC glass repairs, and hold a recognized trade qualification or be a registered apprentice. This position offers significant career growth potential, including the opportunity to transition into a full-time Manager position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Remove and install windshields, back glass, and side glass on a wide range of vehicles
- Perform ICBC glass repairs and follow ICBC guidelines accurately
- Safely handle glass, urethane, and tools according to industry and AGRSS standards
- Lift, move, and install large glass panels safely
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment
- Communicate clearly with customers and represent KAY-C Automotive professionally
- Inspect vehicles for additional service opportunities and report findings
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of auto glass replacement experience
- British Columbia recognized trade qualification in the Automotive Glass Technician trade OR be a registered apprentice
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of ICBC glass repair processes and documentation
- Ability to lift heavy glass and work safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation:
$32.50 – $50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
