24 Carrots Bakery is a busy, medium-sized wholesale and retail bakery located on Kempt Rd. in Halifax. We are locally owned and operated and have been producing quality breads and baked goods for many of Halifax’s top restaurants, hotels, and cafes for over 30 years. We are accredited with the Better Business Bureau and proud of our A+ business rating.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Wholesale & Customer Service Specialist, with a passion for bread and baked goods, to manage ordering, and provide customer support to our wholesale and retail customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent, efficient, and knowledgeable customer service in a personable and friendly manner: in person, on phone, and by e-mail.
- Facilitate all wholesale ordering by suggesting products, providing quotes, and arranging consultation meetings.
- Enter orders, maintain accounts, and produce production reports using our Bakery Software.
- Assist with set up, customer service and closing duties of our retail shop.
- Administrative duties, such as data entry, report writing, and analysis.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and sales skills with a minimum 1-year of related experience.
- A good working knowledge of baking with an appreciation for quality breads and baked goods.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Team player who fosters a positive working relationship with colleagues.
- Work experience in a bakery considered an asset.
- Post secondary education in related field considered an asset.
Set schedule, day shift, Tuesday to Saturday.
