There is an exciting opportunity for a full time HVAC/R technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is motivated with good time management and problem-solving skills and a customer service focus. You will be required to have flexible hours to meet on call requirements and the seasonality of the HVAC industry.
As an HVAC-R Technician, you will:
- Install and service residential heating and cooling equipment
- Maintain, repair and install residential or commercial gas lines
- Assist with service and installations on commercial HVAC units
- Repair and maintain refrigeration equipment including display cases, walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-in and undercounter coolers/freezers, ice machines, and reach-in blast chillers.
- Troubleshoot system failures and recommend and/or carry out corrective measures.
- Be able to adapt to a changing work environment
- Follow all code requirements, safety regulations, and OSHA such as Lock Out/Tag Out Policy; use of protective gear when required; adherence to the Confined Space Policy, etc.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner on each call
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
- Be punctual and dependable. Able to maintain company vehicle in a neat, clean and safe standard.
- Adhere to all company HR and OHS policies and procedures
- Perform all job functions in a safe manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Service Manager
Requirements
G2 Gas Technician license Required
Refrigeration license (313D OR 313A License) Required
Experience with commercial, industrial and residential applications including installations, troubleshooting and repairs
A current and valid Ontario driver’s license
Must possess a current and clean Driver’s Abstract
Ability to read, write and speak in English
Must be available for weekends and/or overtime rotation, as required

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
