Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant - Job Description:
The project involves a modernization initiative focused on automating the mainframe Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The consultant will help design and implement end-to-end deployment workflows to automate code promotion from development to SIT/UAT and production environments.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant - Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Embed security and compliance checks into the build and deploy processes.
- Proactively monitor system performance, availability, and manage incidents.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant - Mandatory Skills:
- 5+ years of working knowledge of mainframe architecture z/OS and USS.
- Strong administrative and operational knowledge of DevOps Deploy on zOS.
- Experience with DevOps Deploy integrations with the mainframe SDLC.
- UNIX experience, including coding of JavaScript.
- Documenting processes and workflows for ongoing support and audit compliance.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- 2+ years of experience setting up partial Deploy and Rollback process workflows.
- Experience setting up DevOps Deploy in a cluster configuration.
- z/OS experience, especially coding simple to mid complexity REXX/JCL.
- Experience in z/OS development and operations environments.
- DevOps Engineering and/or SRE background.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant - Start Date:
ASAP.
Mainframe DevOps Deployment Consultant - Assignment Location:
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite presence on Tuesday and the second Friday of every month.
