Responsibilities:
-Two positions full time manager and staff pharmacist
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize pharmacy operations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide patient care and medication therapy management
- Monitor medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
- Maintain inventory control and ensure proper storage of medications
- Provide counseling to patients on medication usage, side effects, and precautions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication order processing and documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for inventory management and prescription processing
- Knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices and regulations
