South Coast Hyundai in Simcoe, is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual, with an eye for detail. We are looking for an additional Vehicle Detailer to join our Team, in a multi-faceted role. The ideal candidate has personal satisfaction in a job well done. In addition, this individual will have a definite knack for making New & Used Vehicles spotless, both inside and out!
Duties and Responsibilities
- The primary role is Vehicle Detailing. However, Customer Shuttling & Parts Deliveries will also be required. When detailing: various types of cleaning equipment and solutions will be used. Vehicle will be detailed according to specific instructions including: shampooing carpets and upholstery, vacuuming floors and seats, cleaning and vacuuming trunks (as well as ashtrays , cup holders, etc.). As well as, conditioning vinyl and leather (interiors &exteriors). In addition, cleaning all glass and mirrors on the vehicles (inside and out). Waxing and buffing vehicles, polishing the exterior chrome and all trim on the exterior of vehicles (using special chrome cleaners) will also be required There will also be a need to: apply chemicals to surfaces to protect against spots and stains . Hoses and pumps for washing and rinsing vehicles will also be used. Cleaning and polishing wheel rims will also be required, to make them sparkle! As well as cleaning headlights, brake lights, and taillights , to make them brighter. Each and every New & Used will look even better, after being detailed by our Detailers!
MUST HAVES: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must have exceptional customer service skills. Must have a valid Full G Driver's Licence in good standing & clean driving record. Must be detail oriented. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be an active listener and exercise sound judgment. Good critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential. Must be a good time manage and multi-tasker. The ability to follow complex instructions is a plus. Should have ample knowledge of safety precautions.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
- Time is spent detailing a combination of rental, new, and owned vehicles of various size and brands. Must be able to work with detergents and chemicals. Some time is spent working outside and in a service bay, in both hot and cold weather.

Hourly pay based on experience
