Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating vehicles to transport goods and materials to various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and excellent driving skills to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 5 vehicles for the transportation of goods, materials, or equipment.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to load or unload items safely.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Verifiable commercial driving history with clean commercial abstract.
- Proven experience in driving heavy vehicles and handling long-distance routes is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading cargo.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
