Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable professional to join our team as a Shingler. This role involves hands-on work, requiring a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a shingler. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience working on all roof pitches, use of hand tools, ladders, and working as a team. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where quality workmanship and safety are prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Installation of roofing systems.
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in roofing practices.
- Remove old roof materials and dispose of them accordingly
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently.
- Site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment.
- Prior knowledge/experience in carpentry tasks is considered an asset.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Experience working in sites with a focus on safety and quality.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, demonstrating physical strength and endurance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and safety compliance.
