- Abides by the companies Health and Safety policies and GMP policies.
- Work safely around moving equipment and machinery.
- Know where the emergency stop buttons are located.
- Move pallet of eggs to the Loader conveyor.
- Remove top layer of empty trays and place them on the appropriate stack.
- Move stacks of eggs normally 6 trays high from the pallet to the loader conveyor, ensuring the correct orientation. Continue fill the loader conveyor as the machine is running. Avoid leaving spaces ensuring the loader conveyor is full.
- Remove the pallet board dividers after every layer as the eggs are being loaded on to the machine. Place the divider boards on the appropriate stack.
- As the height of the eggs on the pallet changes, operate the pallet lift to the desired working height.
- When the pallet is empty, remove the pallet and place on the appropriate pallet stack.
- Move the next full pallet of eggs to be graded to the Loader conveyor.
- When starting eggs from another producer, a numbered magnetic ball is used to indicate this. The numbered magnetic ball will pass through an antenna and a light should come on to let you know a new bench count was detected. If the light does not come on, the loader employee shall notify the supervisor that the bench count wasn’t effective. Remove and save producer tags when they are on a pallet to be loaded.
- Know the sequence of the pallets to load onto the grading machine. Avoid mixing different producer lots.
- When an unscheduled stoppage occurs on the loader, check the code at the loader screen. Take the corrective action according to the code; ensure that all out of place egg trays have been removed. Then close all safety gates and lids and press the reset for the loader to resume production.
- If the same error code persists immediately inform supervisor and then mechanic.
- When reported equipment break down is of some duration determine if supervisor or maintenance personnel requires some help, if not, take the time do some clean up or perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Must be able to document all required information accurately and legibly.
