Job Title: Roofer / Shingler
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Roofer / Shingler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing roofing systems, primarily asphalt shingles, on residential and/or commercial properties. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely at heights.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace asphalt shingles and other roofing materials
- Remove old roofing materials and dispose of debris properly
- Inspect roofs for damage and identify necessary repairs
- Install underlayment, flashing, vents, and other roofing components
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific roof areas
- Ensure roofs are watertight and meet quality standards
- Follow safety procedures and use proper fall protection equipment
- Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience as a roofer or shingler preferred
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, materials, and safety procedures
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Conditions
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Frequent climbing, bending, lifting, and standing
- Full-time position; overtime may be required during peak season
