Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support both cultivation and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate has experience in controlled environments and understands the importance of sanitation, safety, and regulatory standards. Red White and Bloom is a cannabis company.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cultivation and production equipment
- Maintain environmental systems including HVAC, irrigation, lighting, and climate controls
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues across both grow and production areas
- Execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and ensure system reliability
- Monitor and maintain water systems, pumps, filtration, and nutrient delivery systems
- Support manufacturing equipment such as packaging lines, processing machinery, and automation systems
- Ensure proper calibration and functioning of sensors and control systems
- Maintain clean and sanitary work environments in accordance with regulatory standards
- Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
- Assist with facility upgrades, installations, and equipment commissioning
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in cultivation, agriculture, food processing, or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Experience working in controlled environments (e.g., greenhouses, indoor grow facilities, clean rooms)
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and schematics
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and documentation practices
- Understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated climate control systems
- Knowledge of irrigation and fertigation systems
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitation protocols
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Basic PLC troubleshooting or automation experience
- Welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly skills
Working Conditions
- Work in varying environments including humid grow rooms and production areas
- Exposure to noise, machinery, and strong lighting systems
- May require lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
- On-call or flexible hours may be required to support operations
