Job Summary

Kinetix Medicine is currently accepting applications for a full-time Medical Office Assistant and a part-time Medical Office Assistant. The MOA acts as the primary point of contact for Kinetix patients and doctors and is accountable for providing a consistently excellent level of customer service and care to all patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Performing a wide variety of reception and administrative duties.
- Managing incoming faxes, creating patient charts and accurately inputting their demographic data and then assigning these referrals to a doctor.
- Promptly assigning test/diagnostic reports to the appropriate patient’s chart and forwarding these to the doctor via the internal patient messaging portal.
- Booking referrals in a timely manner and coordinating doctors’ schedules across the clinic.
- Explaining and ensuring all patients understand their examination procedures and the relative costs involved.
- Administer and process patient information, referrals, requisitions, prescriptions.
- Assisting patients to changing rooms for assessments and procedures.
- Requesting previous diagnostic images and/or reports from other facilities where these are required for interpretation and diagnosis by the doctor.
- Responding to requests from other facilities for reports.
- Managing incoming calls and email enquiries.
- Assisting with medical legal requests and report processing.
- Assisting with the concussion/rehab programme.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Excellent communication skills (auditory, written, and verbal).
- Ability to speak/read/write fluent English is a requirement.
- Minimum 2 years’ receptionist experience delivering exceptional customer service in a face-to-face environment.
- Certification as a Health Information Office Assistant or Medical Office Assistant is an asset.
- MSP billing experience is an asset.
- Previous experience in working at a medical clinic or diagnostic imaging clinic is an asset.
