Madsen's Custom Cabinets is the leading manufacturer of Custom Architectural Millwork and Cabinetry in Alberta for over 60 years. Madsen's is currently looking for an apprentice millwork installer.
Key Responsibilities
- Work and communicate with fellow staff and customers
- Candidate must have the ability to understand and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Candidate must have the ability to interpret design intent from shop drawings and install in a manner consistent with the design intent with supervision
- Apprentices should have some ability and be able to further learn how to properly install complex desks, wall paneling, cabinet units, man doors and frames, countertops and various custom millwork with supervision
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year experience in Architectural Millwork and cabinet industry
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Ability to travel to job sites around the Edmonton area.
- Good communication skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Candidate must display a high degree of manual dexterity and have basic hand tool knowledge.
- Candidate must have strong math skills , focus and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Candidate must have complete knowledge of millwork assembly and joinery techniques
- Candidate must be familiar with standard millwork hardware installation , operation and adjustments
