Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Director to oversee the daily operations of our early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with children and families. This leadership role requires a strong background in early childhood education and caregiving, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. The Daycare Director will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care and educational excellence within the center.
Duties
- Supervise and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality care and educational programming
- Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety protocols, and health guidelines
- Manage daily operations, including enrollment, billing, and record keeping
- Foster positive relationships with children’s families through effective communication and engagement
- Coordinate staff training, professional development, and performance evaluations
- Oversee the maintenance of a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children
- Address any behavioral or developmental concerns in collaboration with staff and families
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract qualified caregivers and educators
Qualifications
- ECE Level 3 certification required, or working towards it
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Criminal record & vulnerable sector check
- Strong communication and organizational skills
