Shelter Ridge Build + Design is a family-owned and operated construction company based in the Fraser Valley. We specialize in custom homes, large-scale renovations, additions, and commercial tenant improvements.
Our company is led by a team of third-generation builders with over 45 years of experience in the industry. We’ve built our reputation on quality craftsmanship, integrity, and collaboration. We are a small but growing team, and every employee plays an important role in the success of our projects.
At Shelter Ridge, no two days are the same. You’ll be working alongside experienced builders, gaining exposure to all stages of construction while contributing to a clean, organized, and efficient jobsite.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a General Labourer who is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn. This role is ideal for someone with basic construction experience who wants to build their skillset and grow within the company.
You don’t need to know everything—but you do need to show up ready to work, take direction, and take pride in what you do.

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Jobsite cleanup and maintaining a safe, organized work environment
- Assisting carpenters and site supervisors with general tasks
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Picking up and delivering materials when required
- Basic construction tasks such as demolition, prep work, and site setup
- Supporting all phases of residential and commercial construction
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of construction or labour experience preferred
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior team members
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation (required)
- Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and working outdoors in varying conditions
Assets (not required):
- Experience on residential construction sites
- Equipment experience (skid steer, etc.)
- First Aid or safety certifications
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly wage: $25–$28, based on experience
