Duties
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Help with meal preparation for service, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Follow recipes accurately to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
