Job Overview
Xfinity Dental is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Sterilization Technician to join our dental practice. Foreign qualified dentists are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and ready for patient use. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Prior experience with dental procedures is an asset, but will train the suitable candidate.
Duties
- Properly clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument inventory using dental management software
- Assist with the preparation of dental treatment rooms prior to patient appointments
- Ensure all sterilization protocols are adhered to in compliance with health regulations
- Support the dental team by managing instrument supplies and ensuring readiness for procedures
- Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth workflow during patient appointments
- Assist with basic administrative tasks related to patient records
Skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control procedures is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively within a healthcare team
- Prior experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is advantageous but will train the suitable candidate
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
