Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining small engines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, experience with various tools, and a solid understanding of engine systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, generators, chainsaws, trimmers and other outdoor power equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tune-ups, and part replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Work with heavy lifting when handling large or bulky parts and equipment
- Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommending solutions
- Assist in sales by advising customers on product maintenance and upgrades when applicable
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with small engines or related machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge with small engine experience
- Experience with schematics and parts lookup on computer
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work on equipment requiring physical effort
- Knowledge of Stihl and Husqvarna Equipment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
