We are seeking a caring & detail-oriented individual to join our Public Health (PH) Team. This Administrative Support (AS) IV position is a key member of the PH team, working with the PH Area Manager, to provide integrated, strength based, family centered PH care. The incumbent works independently in a fast-paced environment & plays a critical role in maintaining effective and efficient operations within the PH program. The AS IV is responsible for supporting daily operations of operations/PH program including data entry, report creation, records management, ordering, scheduling, human resource support, mentorship, & quality improvement activities. The AS IV is skilled at anticipating the needs & demands of management & staff. This position reports to the Public Health North Area Manager. The AS IV is privy to confidential & sensitive information & will be required to use this information to complete tasks. This position requires: Prioritize daily workload to meet the needs of the area manager and program. Manage Area Manager’s calendar(s) by coordinating, meeting/engagements dates, times & required resources (e.g., meetings, HR, Room booking, equipment, conflicting priorities). Responds to operational issues and concerns consistent with applicable processes, procedures, & guidelines. Carry 25 lbs. of equipment, carry out awkward & repetitive movements for up to 7.75 hours, including sitting, standing and/or bending for long periods of time. Comply with appropriate hand hygiene techniques, including regular use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer & antibacterial soap. Handle frequent interruptions & still meet workload timelines. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, PCA currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable & is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Some post-secondary education.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Formal Business Administration diploma or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered acceptable. Minimum 2 years related experience relevant to secretarial/administrative support. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills. Be able to work under minimal guidance and supervision. Knowledge of computer technology and applications including website navigation, office or business applications, health database use (e-People, Netcare, Connect Care, SharePoint), Microsoft Office Suites. Prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times. Adhere to strict organizational policies, procedures, and legislated requirements. Handle frequent interruptions and still meet workload timelines. Prepares and disseminates required documentation to support operational/program activities. Provides support for financial activities. Work in a loud, chaotic, busy environment with other admin supports. Perform administrative duties to support programs and services within the Public Health North portfolio and completed with a high-level accuracy independently but also interdependent within a larger team environment across multiple sites/programs. Compose, edit and format documents, reports and correspondence according to established templates, procedures or specific instructions.
