Responsibilities:
- Loading cargo and ensuring the load is secure
- Unloading cargo at destination and dealing with customers to ensure cargo is placed and stored at preferred location on premises.
- Delivering product to customers on time
- Coordinating delivery time and schedules with supervisor and customers
- Ensuring vehicle weight is within standards
- Ensuring and maintaining proper cargo documentation
- Conducting daily per-inspections of products to be delivered.
- Collecting payments from customers as required
- Thoroughly cleaning vehicles on a weekly basis
- Performing various warehouse duties
- Following all Company and road safety rules
- Main route of delivery GTA (Toronto) and Vaughan
Skill/Knowledge/Experience
- A minimum of 2 year driving experience
- A valid G license
- Complete understanding and knowledge of the English language.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance
- must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Sound knowledge of legal requirements/restrictions with respect to the operation of a delivery truck
- Superior work organization and time management skills
- Excellent Communications and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to stay focused for long periods of time
- Ability to problem solve
- Complete understanding and knowledge in all aspects of the English language
- Must have a good Drivers abstract.
