Overview
IMCA Euro Catering is a Romanian specialty grocery store, bakery, and catering kitchen located in Concord, Ontario. We prepare a wide range of traditional Romanian foods, including cozonac, sarmale, Romanian soups, appetizers, pastries, and other homemade dishes.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our team. In this role, you will support daily food preparation, assist with cooking traditional Romanian items, and help maintain smooth kitchen operations while upholding high standards of food safety and quality. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking meals, including traditional Romanian dishes such as cozonac, sarmale, soups, appetizers, and baked goods.
- Follow established recipes and production standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Perform food handling tasks, ensuring all ingredients are stored, prepared, and used safely.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and utensils.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Support serving staff by preparing dishes for service when needed.
- Participate in inventory tasks, including stocking supplies and reporting shortages.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in cooking, baking, or food preparation in a restaurant, bakery, or commercial kitchen.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, equipment use, and basic maintenance.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, cooperative attitude.
- Experience with Eastern European or Romanian cuisine is an asset but not required.

Pay: $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
