Room Attendants are responsible for effectively cleaning and presenting the assigned guest room(s) to meet and exceed the Marriott Hotels brand standard requirements including but not limited to the following tasks:
- Change linens and make beds as per Marriott standards
- Vacuum living areas, bedroom, and bathroom. Dust all furniture
- Thoroughly cleans, scrubs, and washes bathroom areas
- Replace all guest supplies and amenities
- Exchange curtains, sheers and other furnishing when required
- Collect and store soiled laundry on linen cart
- Report any damages to furniture, fixtures, and electrical appliances
- Keep the Housekeeping Linen Room clean and tidy
- Collect garbage and recycling
- Ensure the floor master key is received and returned each shift
- Reports and hands all lost & found items to supervisor with urgency
- Monitors for safety and security reporting any unusual, irregular guest behavior relating to applicable hotel policies and laws of the province/country
- Perform assigned cleaning tasks as per Deep Cleaning Tracker
- Supports the teams as required
- Performs other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
· Full-time position means open availability to work any day of the week and any shift varying from daytime, mid-day, weekends, holidays, weekly, as needed
· Physically fit to perform moderately physical work: constant standing, walking, kneeling and moving in a brisk pace for 8-hour shifts
· Beginner or better, command of English language
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs
· Work experience in cleaning field an asset
· Must be able to understand and follow WHMIS at all times
· Must be a team player
