Assistant Taproom Manager - Burlington
The Assistant Taproom Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the taproom by delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with staff leadership, training, events, and administrative responsibilities. This role helps ensure a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for both guests and employees while supporting the Taproom Manager in achieving operational goals.

Job Responsibilities
Customer Service & Daily Operations
- Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging experience for all guests.
- Serve beer and other beverages in accordance with Company standards and Smart Serve requirements.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, process payments, and accurately handle cash transactions.
- Complete opening and/or closing procedures, including cash reconciliation, stocking, cleaning, and securing the taproom.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the taproom, bar, patio, retail area, and storage spaces.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, AGCO regulations, health and safety standards, and food safety requirements.
Leadership & Staff Support
- Provide leadership while assigning duties, communicating priorities, and ensuring daily tasks are completed.
- Support employee development by providing guidance, answering questions, and reinforcing Company policies and procedures.
- Act as the Manager on duty in the absence of the Taproom Manager, ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful operation of the taproom.
- Assist with onboarding, training, coaching, and mentoring new and existing team members to maintain consistent service standards.
Special Events & Entertainment Support
- Coordinate and schedule live musicians and entertainment for weekly events, including confirming availability and event logistics.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of special events, private functions, and afterhours activities.
- Process and fulfill online beer and merchandise orders accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of beer, merchandise, retail products, and operating supplies, and communicate replenishment needs.
- Assist with administrative duties and maintain accurate operational records as required.

Additional Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day activities of taproom staff during assigned shifts.
- Make operational decisions to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve routine guest concerns and employee issues, escalating significant matters to the Taproom Manager when appropriate.
- Recommend improvements to taproom operations, events, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Food Handlers Certificate (Mandatory)
- Smart Serve Certificate (Mandatory)
- 5+ years in restaurant/brewery industry
- Strong team player
- Desire to learn and grow
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Consistent attention to detail
- Flexibility, days, evenings and weekends.
