Job Summary
A Spa Therapist performs massages, body treatments, facials and nail services for hotel or local guests, focusing on client needs, comfort, and providing exceptional service. Key duties include client consultations, performing various therapeutic techniques, maintaining a clean and safe treatment environment, managing their schedule, and promoting spa services. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work well with a diverse clientele in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform services as scheduled, including treatment enhancements.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitization and organization of treatment rooms and spa facility.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests. Thank guests with genuine appreciation and concern.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Maintain positive relations with guests and colleagues.
- Hold knowledge of hours of operation, reservations, fees, treatments, products, and merchandise.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Responsible for stocking supplies needed for cabinets (sheets, towels, blankets, refill oils, creams, and all products used by therapists while performing their treatments).
- Execute guest consultation and treatment customization based on guest needs.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction

- Execute guest consultation and treatment customization based on guest needs.
- Sell/promote retail offerings.
- Complete required post- treatment documents.
- Follow established standard spa treatment SOP’s.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months’ experience working in a luxury hotel spa
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certificate from accredited school of Body Work or Esthetic School
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures
- Ability to remain on your feet and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a tranquil, scent-sensitive, and wellness-focused setting
- Ability to handle guest interactions with discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
- Must be able to perform 5-6 treatments per shift
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
