Job Description
· Blundon’s Trucking and Excavating Ltd. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the daily operations of the Human Resources department and ensure the effective delivery of HR services across multiple functional areas.
· This will be at the Valentine Gold Mine.
· Rotational shift (14x14) with camp accommodations provided
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration Diploma, or related field.
· Equivalent work experience will be considered
· 3–5 years of Human Resources Generalist; experience in the construction industry is an asset
Qualifications & Abilities
· Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to build positive working relationships with office staff, field employees, craft workers, and project teams
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Must provide a current drivers abstract and criminal record check and successfully compete a pre-employment medical assessment drug/alcohol test
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Recruitment & Onboarding
o Support full-cycle recruitment for field, craft, and administrative positions
o Prepare and post job advertisement
o Screen applicants and coordinate interviews
o Recruiting and onboard new employees
o Conduct new-hire orientations and ensure all required onboarding documents and compliance documentation is completed
· Employee Relations
o Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns
o Support supervisors with employee relations matters and workplace issues
o Assist with conflict resolution and documentation
· HR Administration & Compliance
o Maintain accurate employee records and files
o Ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies
o Manage onboarding documents, employment equity tracking, background checks, and other required HR records
· Benefits & Payroll Support
o Assist employees with benefits enrollment and eligibility inquiries
o Administering employee benefits programs
o Support payroll by reviewing employee information and assisting with payroll corrections.
o Tracking employee vacation, leave, and other time-off requests.
o Responsible for updating scheduling and employee time tracking
o Perform other office duties as assigned or as needed
· Training & Safety Support
o Coordinate mandatory training and maintain employee certification records.
o Work collaboratively with the safety team to support compliance, orientations, and incident documentation
