Position Overview
The Forsythe Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the efficient flow of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods throughout Forsythe Lubrication's operations. This role manages inventory transactions within the ERP system, supports receiving and replenishment activities, performs inventory cycle counts, and works closely with Procurement, Production, Shipping, and Quality to ensure inventory accuracy and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system (SAP/GP).
- Process inventory receipts, transfers, adjustments, and transactions.
- Receive raw materials, packaging, and finished goods into inventory.
- Generate purchase orders for approved stock replenishment items.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment activities.
- Coordinate inventory transfers between facilities and warehouses.
- Verify receiving documentation and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support production by ensuring materials are available and properly issued.
- Maintain organized warehouse inventory locations and inventory records.
- Work closely with Procurement, Shipping, Production, and Finance to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and warehouse organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, inventory control, warehouse operations.
- Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics GP, or similar) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
