Job Summary
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager (CPM) to oversee a construction project from inception to completion. The CPM will collaborate with the ownership team on a project located in Downtown Cornwall. The CPM will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to specified quality and safety standards. Acting as the primary bridge between property owners, architects, and engineers, the CPM will report directly to the owners through all phases from inception to closeout. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with industry-standard management software to drive projects forward efficiently, safely, and within scope.
Duties
- Project Planning: Defining the project scope, creating timelines, setting milestones, and managing daily progress.
- Contract & Procurement: Managing the bidding process, negotiating contracts with vendors and contractors.
- Budget & Cost Management: Preparing accurate cost estimates, managing the overall project budget, and ensuring expenditures remain within the budget.
- Coordination: Leading regular meetings (owners, architect, engineer…), and maintaining clear communication channels between all parties.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in project management software, reading blueprints/CAD drawings, and cost-estimation tools.
- Permit Managemenent: Obtaining and managing building permits and navigating local zoning bylaws.
Experience
- Minimum 2-year experience.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager with a strong background in medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating techniques and cost control measures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- Bilingual mandatory (French & English).
- Owning a reliable car, valid driver's license and insurance coverage are mandatory.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
