Sedgman is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Designer , with hands-on experience on projects ranging from conceptual design to detailed engineering. This person will be based out of our Vancouver office. The ideal incumbent will have robust experience in detailed design and layout of mineral processing and ore handling systems in mining/heavy industrial projects
The Senior Mechanical Designer works on a diverse array of projects across the Mineral Processing industry. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from concept to detailed design, with a clear focus on Mechanical expertise.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship, offering guidance on complex design challenges, modelling standards, and best practices.
Conduct and lead design reviews, proactively identifying risks, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, relevant standards, and client requirements.
Must have 8+ years industry experience in a design / consultancy environment, preferably supporting mining, minerals processing, or heavy industries.
Strong expertise in Auto CAD 3D software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Navisworks) is essential

The salary offered to the successful person for this position will consider education, experience, relevant skills and capability, geographic location and market conditions at the time of hire.
Salary Range: $90,000-120,000
