Overview
Through the direction of the Supervisor/Production Manager, perform the Cell/CNC functions necessary to manufacture product in the plant. This includes the adherence to all quality aspects of the products and maintaining equipment to meet production manufacturing targets.
Required to work all rotating shifts - midnights, days and afternoons. Mandatory overtime.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform turning and drilling
- Read and interpret blueprints and checksheets to meet machining requirements
- Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment
- Select appropriate tools, speeds and feeds based on material and job specifications
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality and adherence to tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any mechanical issues or abnormalities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
- Document production data, including quantities produced, setup times and scrap
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or prior manufacturing experience is a plus
- Experience in operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods. lift up to 40 lbs and handle materials as needed
