Lybroco Rentals is looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing team. If you enjoy diagnosing difficult problems, working independently, and repairing a wide variety of equipment in the field, we'd like to hear from you.
You'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our rental fleet at customer job sites and in our yard, helping keep our customers productive and our equipment operating safely.
What You'll Be Working On
Our fleet includes:
- Aerial work platforms (Genie, JLG, Skyjack, MEC, Snorkel, Sinoboom)
- Scissor lifts
- Articulating and telescopic boom lifts
- Telehandlers
- Skid steers and compact track loaders
- Mini excavators
- Forklifts
- Generators and light towers
Experience with Deutz diesel engines is a major asset, along with Cummins, Kubota, Perkins, Yanmar, and John Deere engines.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues
- Perform field service repairs and scheduled maintenance
- Troubleshoot CANbus and electrical systems
- Repair hydraulic systems, pumps, cylinders, hoses, and valves
- Complete inspections and preventative maintenance
- Accurately document repairs and parts used
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site
- Maintain a clean, organized service truck
- Work safely and follow company procedures
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- Heavy Equipment Technician (Journeyman) certification or equivalent experience
- Experience repairing aerial lifts, skid steers, telehandlers, or similar equipment
- Strong hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills
- Diesel engine troubleshooting experience (especially Deutz)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Own basic mechanic's tools
Assets
Experience with any of the following is considered an advantage:
- Genie Lift Pro or manufacturer training
- JLG equipment
- Skyjack equipment
- MEC equipment
- Snorkel equipment
- Deutz engine diagnostics
- Hydraulic troubleshooting
- Mobile field service experience
- Welding and fabrication
