Job Summary
Premier Kosher is seeking reliable, detail-oriented Poultry Processing Attendants to join our Evisceration team. In this role, you will perform a variety of essential production tasks on a rotational basis, including cutting, presenting, and inspecting raw poultry. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role that requires excellent teamwork, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to strict food safety and hygiene protocols. We provide full training, including specialized industry certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform core processing tasks including cutting, presenting, and inspecting raw chicken product.
- Rotate across multiple production line stations and learn all room positions.
- Safely operate handheld processing tools and knives with precision.
- Inspect products to identify and communicate quality defects on a moving line.
- Meet or exceed departmental productivity targets and efficiency standards.
- Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in company-facilitated training
- Support other production departments and perform alternative duties as requested.
Workplace Environment
- Fast-paced, noisy production environment with a moving assembly line.
- Multicultural team setting collaborating regularly with fellow teammates, Rabbis, and CFIA inspectors.
- Strict adherence to hygiene standards, including mandatory handwashing and proper PPE use.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift.
- Capability to handle, lift, and move raw poultry products continuously.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive motions.
- Able to deal with raw meat and what goes along with a slaughter facility
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated knife skills and a good eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to speak, read, and understand English instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working productively with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
- Required to wear full PPE: steel-toed boots, steel mesh gloves, smocks, gloves, and hearing protection.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 6am - 5pm and Fridays driven by production demands (Enjoy a consistent 4-day work week!).
