Seasonal Security Guard (Full-Time)

Schedule: Must be available for days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Security Guards to join our team for a seasonal full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, residents, and property while providing excellent customer service. This role is ideal for individuals who are dependable, observant, and able to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle.
- Monitor access points and control entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
- Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and customer inquiries.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and log entries.
- Monitor security systems, cameras, alarms, and other site equipment as required.
- Assist guests, residents, staff, and visitors with directions and general inquiries.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and suspicious activity.
- Work collaboratively with site management, emergency services, and fellow team members.
- Provide a visible security presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting alcohol-related concerns in accordance with site policies and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Smart Serve Certification is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong observation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to write clear and professional reports.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
- Previous security experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as required.
