Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. The role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, assisting with various dental procedures and patient interactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (CAD experience preferred)
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Schedule appointments and handle administrative tasks related to patient check-in/check-out as a dental receptionist
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure equipment is properly maintained
- Support the team with administrative duties, including updating medical histories and processing insurance claims
Experience
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant or in a related role is preferred
- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures, medical terminology, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Maxident is highly desirable
- Experience working with orthodontics, pediatrics, or in a medical setting is a plus
- Certification in dental assisting or related training programs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
