Kärcher North America is the leading manufacturer of industrial and commercial water cleaning systems, specifically pressure washers, aqueous parts washers, and wastewater treatment systems. We are currently seeking applicants for a Warranty Inspector.
This position is located at our Camas, WA facility. This state-of-the-art manufacturing facility has been certified to the internationally recognized ISO-9001:2000 standard for quality manufacturing.
SUMMARY
Inspect parts and machinery sent in by customers/dealers for warranty evaluation and repair for resell or return to customer. Inspect parts and components rejected from assembly area and return to vendor for credit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answer incoming calls in a timely manner and provide “second to none” customer service.
Discuss warranty problems with customers and suppliers.
Use assorted hand, power, and air tools in the performance of this job.
Maintain the high standards of KPS (or 5S).
Complete various warranty projects assigned by supervisor. Cross training is required.
Complete Return to vendor parts in an efficient and timely manner.
Maintain records of return to vendor parts and Warranty Claims.
Troubleshoot, rebuild and test returned machinery.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED. Prefer 2-5 years of experience with small engines, pumps, and other such components showing a wide variety of knowledge and mechanical skills. Prefer 1-2 years computer entry and ten key. General knowledge of ISO 9000 preferred. General knowledge of SAP preferred. Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Must have good attendance record. Some receiving inspection experience a plus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet conditions, fumes, some chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
